Gothic Horror Fiction Reflection I didn’t like this unit at all. I didn’t like how weird words were made into love and horror and stuff. The movies we watched that delt with Gothic Horror I thought were horrible. I really like writing short stories but when It has to use certain words pertaining to something I seem to not write what I am actually thinking.

Non Fiction Reflection: I didn’t really like the Non Fiction Unit, because you couldn’t use your imagination obviously because it has to be real. Even though that Is true I had a fun time doing the newspaper report. It was cool seeing how newspapers are put together and stuff. I didn’t like writing letters to editors and complaining to companies as much though. It was a fun Unit though.

“Creative Writing Reflection” by Brennon Flannery

Creative Writing Reflection I was really glad I decided to take Creative Writing this year. I was scared at first because sometimes it’s hard for me to express my feelings on paper but I was glad I did. It helped that the coolest teacher in the school taught the class. But I learned a lot about myself and that I love to write poems, short stories, etc. I didn’t like how much homework we had due all the time though. That was a definite turn off for me for taking the class. It was hard to keep up with it all since writing is something that’s hard to rush because you have to come up with it in your mind. I liked most of the Units we went through my favorites were probably Poetry, and Short Story. The Units I didn’t like as much were probably Gothic Horror and Memoirs. I want to thank Mrs Friederichs for the great year and I hope she keeps teaching the class so that future students can experience the great year I had taking Creative Writing.

“Short Story Reflection” a Reflection by Brennon Flannery

Reflection

I really like writing short stories because writing is cool, but if you have to drag it on into tons of pages it can get really boring. Short stories are short and to the point. Sometimes it’s hard to think of short things to write about, or to fit all the concepts of a story in but if done right, it can be really cool.

I also really like Gothic Horror. It’s cool, the words you can use to make it more interesting. Its way cool if you use it with symbolism also. It’s crazy finding out real meanings of things, and stupid things can really have deeper meanings.

            I liked watching the movies more than reading the stories, because it was so much easier to pick up on the Gothic Horror, and the symbolism.

I enjoyed this unit, because it was interesting to me. I learned a lot I didn’t know, I don’t know which one I liked more out of the two.  

            In conclusion I liked this Unit a little bit but by far wasn’t my favorite Unit this year.
